Large parties (typically 6 or more) often receive an automatic gratuity of 18-20% on the check. Before calculating additional tip, check your receipt for a line item labeled ‘gratuity’ or ‘service charge.’ If it’s already included, set the tip to 0% in the calculator to avoid double-tipping.
